About me 🤓

I am Rishabh Madan, a self-taught software engineer 😏. I find it deeply satisfying to build stuff that makes life easier. I have designed and developed: digital smoke sensor, DTMF controlled CNC machine, adaptive computer network algorithms, manipulators, web applications and more. Some of my work has been published in international conferences as well.

It all started at age of 6 when, I wired up a little 5V 💡 in series with 2 AA 🔋batteries. I suddenly evolved from a well ornamented 🐵 into a modern 👨 - I fell in love with one question - “How does it work and how do I do/fix it?“. Wrote my first line of code when I was 12 years old. Since then my future was defined.

What Tech Stack am I currently using? 💻 🖥

Software Development:

  • React (A JavaScript library for building user interfaces)
  • NodeJS (A JavaScript runtime built on Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine)
  • Scrapy (A free and open-source web-crawling framework written in Python)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, RDS, DynamoDB, AWS, GCP, Django, Elasticsearch, Svelte, VueJS

DevOps:

  • Jenkins (A free and open source automation server)
  • Docker (To build, ship and run distributed applications)
  • Ansible (For automating the entire application lifecycle)

I am also interested in Signal Image Processing using Python 🐍, applications of Deep Learning and machine learning in medical and computer networking fields.

Why this Blog?

The reason early humans painted on cave walls and other large rock formations in order to tell their stories and to record events that defined their future is the same reason I decided to start this blog. 📔

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. --- Steve Jobs

This blog exists for mostly selfish reasons. It is a way for me to keep track of my evolution as a professional. Here, I record my thoughts and my work. Hopefully other people will find these posts useful and interesting.✌
